Portfolio

A sampling of just some of the projects I’ve been involved with over the years.

New Builds

Foreman & CAD Designer

2024

  • I continued my role from our previous project, but quickly took on a key position in both directing and completing this build. I ultimately led the team in day-to-day operations and took charge of much of the project’s planning and organization. Early on, and throughout the process, I proactively addressed gaps in design details, providing solutions that earned high client satisfaction.

Apprentice/Journeyman Carpenter

Completed in 2022

  • I helped oversee the construction of this project, organizing all construction details; deciding many of them. I maintained a detailed CAD file, created 3D renderings for design visualization and guided the crew on implementation. My efforts also helped our clients make informed design choices while ensuring high craftsmanship and aesthetic standards.

Apprentice Carpenter

Completed in 2021

  • This was my first project from the ground up as an apprentice carpenter. It was also the first project I 3D-modeled in its entirety, establishing the basis of my new workflow.

Remodels

Apprentice Carpenter

Completed Oct 2020

  • This was the first project in which I tried to integrate 3D modeling. At the time I was only able to model a small privacy screen we designed for the guest bathroom, but it proved useful in the end. The clients found it very helpful and I was able to incorporate their feedback in real time for them until we settled on a final design.

Apprentice Carpenter

Completed Jul 2020

  • I primarily worked on 2D CAD drawings for the bulk of this project. However, frustrated by the limitations of 2D, I started to push hard to incorporate 3D models into our future projects.

This was the first project where I really saw the entire process from start to finish. I learned what is involved in demolition, framing, delivering & installing cabinets, and final cleanup.

Apprentice Carpenter

Completed Apr 2019

  • Though only working part-time, this project was one of my first opportunities to be involved in finish carpentry and learning "where the line is" at different phases of construction. In other words; adjusting my level of scrutiny in accordance with what is demanded by the project in terms of quality of work, efficiency, and budget.
